In a flash, Max dashed through the jungle, but Ellie was quick. She caught him and locked him inside a sturdy cage at the jungle’s jail. Max sat in the cage, feeling a little scared and guilty. But, being the clever monkey he was, he didn’t stay down for long. As he looked around, he noticed something special in his pocket – a single, ripe banana. It seemed small, but Max had an idea. “I may be locked up, but I won’t give up,” he thought, smiling slyly. With his sharp teeth, he quickly peeled the banana and used the peel to carefully slip through the small cracks of the cage. It took time, but Max was patient. Finally, with a little wiggle and a lot of determination, Max managed to break free! As Max scampered out of the cage, he heard Ellie approaching, but by then, he was already far away, laughing at his own cleverness. He learned a valuable lesson that day. No matter how tough life gets, there’s always a way out if you don’t give up. The Moral of the Story: Never give up, even when things seem impossible. They had a plan to planting beans in their fields. “Please, sow some of these sprouts in the pots that are already in our fields!” Their mom told them to plant the green beans in pots in the field. The next day, they returned to the field to see the progress of the green beans they had planted yesterday. However, the mung bean plants planted by michii have not experienced the slightest growth, in contrast to Yuna's plants which have already sprouted two small leaves on their shoots. Yuna laughed at michii's plants that failed to grow. “Hahaha, your green beans don't have any progress to grow!” Yuna laughed when she seeing Michii’s plants because they don't have roots or leaves. Michii was saddened and disappointed to hear this, and even more so when he saw that his green bean plants were not growing at all. Michii replanted his green beans with new green beans, fertilized them, and watered them until the soil was moist enough. After a few days of this activity, Michii's green beans now grew with long roots, and quite a lot of leaves. His mother was proud when she heard his story when he returned from the field.

The First Christmas Celebration The villagers prepared joyfully: children decorated a tree with palm leaves, seashells, and flowers, while the adults cooked a feast of fresh fruits, fish, and rice. Odo taught them a song about Jesus, and together they celebrated under the starry sky. The Gift Exchange Odo encouraged the villagers to exchange gifts made with love. They gave simple, meaningful offerings like woven mats, carved animals, and shiny shells, emphasizing the true spirit of giving. The Lesson of Christmas Odo reminded everyone that Christmas was about love, kindness, and unity. The villagers, touched by his words, vowed to celebrate Christmas every year as a reminder to cherish these values. Odo's Departure As Odo and his friends prepared to leave, the villagers gave him a pouch of seashells as a token of gratitude. Waving goodbye, they promised to carry the spirit of Christmas in their hearts. The true abolition of slavery was achieved when the Thirteenth Amendment was ratified on December 6, 1865.
