Summer Vacation Begins
HAZEL AND THE ANT BITE
Hazel was excited; summer vacation was here! She packed her bags with all her gear. Off to the country, to her cousins she'd go. With Dad by her side, her excitement did show.
1
The countryside was vast, with fields so green. Hazel ran around, feeling so keen. She spotted some flowers and a big oak tree. Little did she know, there were ants she couldn't see.
2
Hazel stepped in an ant bed, not knowing the harm. Suddenly, she felt a sting on her arm. She began to scream, her eyes filled with tears. Dad came running to calm her fears.
3
Dad saw the ants and brushed them away. He hugged Hazel tight and said, 'It’s okay.' He wiped her tears and kissed her cheek. 'We'll put some cream, and you'll feel better in a week.'
4
Dad explained ants and their role in the land. 'They work really hard, all in a band.' Hazel listened closely, her fears began to fade. She learned about the ants and the homes they made.
5
Dad put some cream on each little bite. Hazel felt better, and her smile was bright. 'Thank you, Dad,' she said with a grin. 'Now I know about ants and the trouble they're in.'
6
Hazel decided to be more careful and kind. She’d look out for ants, and keep them in mind. She watched where she stepped, and gave them space. She respected the ants, and their tiny place.
7
Summer vacation continued with joy and fun. Hazel played safely, under the sun. She learned a lesson that she’d never forget. Respect all creatures, without any regret.
