Eve Visits the Farm
Natasha's Big Surprise
Natasha had always dreamed of visiting a farm. When her mom dropped her off at Grandma’s country house for the summer, she couldn’t wait to explore!
The moment she stepped outside, she saw rolling green fields, tall trees, and animals playing in the sunshine. The air smelled like fresh grass and warm bread from Grandma’s kitchen.
She had heard so many wonderful things about the farm from her cousins. As she arrived, she saw a big red barn and fields that seemed to go on forever. The farm was full of animals and plants. Natasha couldn't wait to explore everything. She took a deep breath and smelled the fresh air. It was going to be an amazing day.

The first animal Natasha met was a cow. The cow was big and brown and had kind eyes. Natasha gently patted the cow's head. The cow mooed softly, and Natasha giggled. Natasha learned that cows give us milk. The farmer showed Natasha how to milk the cow. Natasha thought it was very interesting. Natasha thanked the cow for the milk.

Next, Natasha saw a flock of sheep. The sheep were fluffy and white. Natasha learned that sheep give us wool. The farmer showed her how to shear a sheep. Natasha was amazed at how much wool came off one sheep. She felt the wool and it was very soft. Natasha thought sheep were very helpful animals.

Natasha then went to see the chickens. The chickens were busy clucking and pecking at the ground. Natasha watched as they laid eggs. The farmer gave Natasha a basket to collect the eggs. She carefully picked up each egg and placed it in the basket. Natasha was proud of her work. She learned that chickens give us eggs for breakfast.

While walking around the farm, Natasha met a friendly dog. The dog wagged its tail and barked happily. Natasha petted the dog and it licked her hand. The farmer told Natasha that the dog helps to guard the farm. Natasha played fetch with the dog. She threw a stick and the dog ran to get it. They had lots of fun together.

Natasha then saw a cat lounging in the sun. The cat had a bell on its collar. Natasha gently called the cat and it came over. The cat purred as Natasha stroked its fur. The farmer said the cat helps to catch mice on the farm. Natasha thought the cat was very clever. She loved how soft the cat's fur felt.

Near the pond, Natasha saw some ducks. The ducks were quacking and swimming in the water. Natasha threw some bread crumbs into the pond. The ducks quickly swam over to eat the crumbs. Natasha laughed as they quacked loudly. She learned that ducks like to eat grains and insects. The ducks looked very happy in the water.

Natasha's next adventure was riding a horse. The horse was tall and strong. The farmer helped Natasha get on the horse. Natasha held on tight as the horse began to walk. Natasha felt like Natasha was flying. The horse trotted around the field. Natasha loved the feeling of the wind in Natasha's hair.

Natasha then visited the vegetable garden. The farmer showed her how to pick carrots. Natasha pulled a big, orange carrot from the ground. She wiped off the dirt and took a bite. It was sweet and crunchy. Natasha picked more carrots and put them in a basket. She was excited to take them home. She loved how fresh they tasted.

Next, Natasha saw a beautiful garden full of flowers. The flowers were in many colors - red, yellow, pink, and blue. Butterflies were fluttering around the flowers. Birds were singing in the trees. Natasha admired the beauty of the garden. She smelled the flowers and felt very happy. It was like a rainbow on the ground.

Natasha followed the butterflies. They flew from flower to flower. Natasha tried to catch one, but they were too quick. She watched as they danced in the air. The farmer told her that butterflies help plants grow. Natasha thought they were magical. She loved their colorful wings.
