Ochuko's Mischief
Ochuko And The Disappearing Laundry
Ochuko was a boy who loved to play. He'd laugh and joke all through the day. He'd sneak around and steal the clothes. From neighbors' lines, he'd strike a pose.
1
One sunny day, Ochuko had a plan. He'd take Old Man Sam's pants and ran. He giggled as he wore them tight. And danced around with all his might.
2
Old Man Sam woke up to find. His favorite pants were left behind. He searched and searched but they were gone. He needed them to mow the lawn.
3
Ochuko saw Old Man Sam so sad. He felt a pang and knew it was bad. He never meant to cause such pain. He just wanted to entertain.
4
Ochuko took the pants back fast. He hoped the sadness wouldn't last. 'I'm sorry, Sam,' Ochuko said. 'I never meant to make you dread.'
5
Old Man Sam gave a gentle smile. 'I know you meant to joke awhile. But stealing clothes is not okay. Let's find a better game to play.'
6
Ochuko and Sam played games anew. They laughed and joked the whole day through. No more stealing, just pure fun. Their bond grew strong, like the sun.
7
Ochuko learned to think before. He played his jokes and pranks galore. Old Man Sam and Ochuko, too. Became best friends, their friendship true.
