Gym Class Begins
Rodger the Rowdy Zebra
It was a sunny day at the Savannah School, and gym class was about to start. Wilson the mad leopard, Otis the anxious lion, Jaden the nervous tiger, and Roger the rowdy zebra were all excited. Today, they were going to play dodgeball, a favorite game among the animals. Coach Ellie the elephant blew her whistle to gather everyone around. "Alright, team! Let's have a fun and safe game," she said. Roger was bouncing with energy, ready to play. His friends were happy to see him so enthusiastic.

The game started, and everyone was having a blast. Roger ran across the gym with lightning speed, dodging and throwing balls. Wilson leaped gracefully, avoiding the balls with ease. Otis tried his best to stay calm and focused, while Jaden nervously watched the balls fly by. Roger was having so much fun, he forgot to be careful. He started throwing the balls harder and faster. His friends began to feel uneasy with his rowdiness.

Roger's excitement turned into rowdiness as he threw the balls with too much force. Wilson dodged a ball just in time, but Otis got hit on his paw. Jaden squealed and ran to the side to avoid getting hit. Roger didn't realize he was being too rough. He was just enjoying the game. But soon, his friends didn't want to play anymore. They felt Roger was being too rowdy and it wasn't fun for them. Coach Ellie noticed the change in the game.

Roger stopped for a moment and looked around. He saw his friends weren't smiling or laughing anymore. They were standing on the sidelines, looking a bit upset. Roger felt a pang of guilt in his heart. He didn't mean to make his friends unhappy. He realized he had let his excitement get the better of him. Roger decided he needed to calm down. He wanted to make things right.

Roger walked over to the gym bleachers, feeling a little sad. He remembered his teacher once told him that finding a quiet place can help calm down. Roger spotted a cozy corner by the bleachers. He sat down and took a deep breath. He reached into his gym bag and pulled out some colorful playdough. Roger began to mold the playdough into different shapes. As he did, he felt his energy settle and his mind calm.

Roger enjoyed the quiet moment, shaping the playdough into a little zebra. He made a ball, a star, and even a little heart. Each creation made him feel more relaxed. He realized how important it was to find balance between fun and being careful. Roger thought about how he could play without being too rowdy. He wanted to be a good friend and have fun together. The playdough helped him find peace.

Feeling calm and ready, Roger stood up and walked back to his friends. "I'm sorry for being too rowdy," Roger said sincerely. Wilson, Otis, and Jaden smiled, happy to see Roger feeling better. "It's okay, Roger," Otis said. "We know you didn't mean it." Jaden nodded, "Let's play again, but a little gentler this time." Roger agreed and promised to be more mindful. Coach Ellie was proud of Roger for realizing his mistake.

With smiles all around, the friends gathered back on the court. They decided to play a new game, one where everyone could have fun together. Roger was careful to throw the balls gently, making sure everyone was comfortable. Wilson, Otis, and Jaden joined in with enthusiasm. They laughed and cheered, enjoying the game as a team. Roger felt happy knowing he could be both energetic and considerate. It was a great day for friendship and fun at Savannah School.
