The Beautiful Garden
Satan Tricked Adam and Eve
In the beginning, God created the world. He made a man named Adam and a woman named Eve. They lived in a beautiful garden called Eden. God told them they could eat from any tree except one. This tree was called the tree of knowing good and bad.

One day, Satan pretended to be a snake. He slithered up to Adam and Eve. The snake asked, 'Did God really say you can’t eat from any tree in the garden?' Eve replied, 'We can eat from any tree except the tree of knowing good and bad. God said we must not eat it or even touch it, or we will die.'

Satan wanted Adam and Eve to disobey God. The snake said, 'No, you won’t die. God knows that when you eat the fruit, you will be like Him, knowing good and bad.' Eve looked at the fruit. It seemed tasty and good to make one wise.

Eve took the fruit and ate it. She gave some to Adam, and he ate it too. Suddenly, they felt ashamed and knew they had disobeyed God. They hid from God when He came to the garden. God was sad because they didn’t listen to Him.
