The Invitation
The Great Bear exchange
Penny Panda munched happily on bamboo shoots when a colorful envelope floated down from the sky. Inside was an invitation to the Bear Exchange Program, where she could swap homes with another bear. Across the world, George Grizzly received the same invitation while fishing in a mountain stream. They both jumped with excitement at the chance to see how the other lived.

Penny packed her favorite bamboo snacks and a small photo of her family. George stuffed honey jars and a warm blanket into his backpack for the journey. They met the exchange coordinators at their respective airports, feeling nervous but thrilled. Soon they were soaring through the clouds, heading to each other's homes.

George found the bamboo forest misty and peaceful, but struggled to climb the slender stalks. Penny discovered the mountain wilderness exciting but missed her bamboo meals while trying salmon. They both wrote notes about their experiences in special exchange journals. "Bamboo gives me everything I need," Penny wrote, while George noted, "The freedom of the mountains makes me strong."

When the 24 hours ended, they returned home with new perspectives and stories. They became pen pals, sharing photos and tales from their different worlds. The Bear Exchange Program declared their swap the most successful ever. Penny and George proved that friendship could flourish across any distance.
