The New Game
The Hopscotch Journey
Barlow was excited. Today, he was going to play hopscotch for the first time. His friend, Mia, had drawn a beautiful hopscotch path on the sidewalk. It twisted and turned in ways Barlow had never seen before. 'Each square is a step in our journey,' Mia explained.

Barlow started hopping. The first few squares were easy, but then the path took a sharp turn. Barlow stumbled, but he didn't fall. 'It's like in life, sometimes you stumble, but you have to keep going,' Mia encouraged. Barlow nodded, determined to finish.

As Barlow reached the halfway point, he realized that each square was different. Some were big, some were small, and some were a bit crooked. 'Just like us,' he thought. 'We're all on different paths, but we're playing the same game.'

Barlow finished the game, out of breath but smiling. 'Let's draw our own hopscotch,' he suggested to Mia. Together, they created a new path, each square representing a dream or a challenge. 'Our journey is what we make it,' Barlow realized.
